STROUDSBURG, Pa. — The roof caved in, and the cars inside melted and were crushed. That was the scene after the fire that destroyed the Gray Dodge Jeep Chrysler and Ram service center on West Main Street in Stroud Township.

Stroud Township's assistant Fire Chief says about 100 firefighters from ten departments were on scene working to control the fire. 

Just next door to the service center sits a Holiday Inn Express Hotel.

An employee tells Newswatch 16 that everybody was evacuated from the hotel. 

A woman who was inside the dealership getting her car service was forced out when the fire sparked. 

"All of a sudden, they tell us we have to leave the building. So they say we have to leave the building, so we're leaving the building. Everybody is running, so we're running too. Thank god you know we came out safe, and everything is fine, but you know, look, a disaster. It's sad, very sad what happened," said Jozefa Abdalla, Stroud Township.

A state police fire marshal is investigating the fire in Monroe County.
